Andreas Werkmeister

Andreas Werkmeister was a German composer born on November 30, 1645. He lived during the Baroque period, a time characterized by elaborate musical ornamentation and the development of new forms such as the concerto and sonata. Werkmeister contributed to the musical landscape of 17th-century Germany through his compositions.

He died on October 26, 1706, at the age of 60. While not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Werkmeister's work remains a part of the rich tapestry of Baroque music history.
